Greetings and Salutations!

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ENTIRE SITE IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND THAT SINCE I TAKE WAY TOO LONG ON ANYTHING IT MIGHT REMAIN THAT WAY FOR A WHILE. Sorry for the caps.

Welcome to the site!

Baldur’s Gate and its sequels, Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn and the expansion Baldur’s Gate II: Throne of Bhaal are very popular computer games that have inspired huge amounts of art and writing. One day I decided that I’d like to write my own version of the story.

Tired of the complications of using Fanfiction.net or other such fiction sites, I created this blog to house my Baldur’s Gate fic, Bats Outta Hell. I’ve done my very best to come up with some original points to a well-used storyline, and to create a hopefully original character to lead us through the story.

Said original character is the Bhaalspawn Willow, and if you’d like to learn more about her I’d suggest you look at the page I’ve made for her in the section entitled The Characters. In fact, look at all of them! There are portraits, descriptions, and histories for each character involved in the story, although for the sake of saving time and energy I can only provide information about those who spend any length of time with the party.

There are also several other pages that may be of interest to you, such as the Maps and Art page, on which I’ve posted several of the maps that the game features for your reference while reading. I am also an aspiring artist, and if I happen to draw anything that has to do with the story I also post it here. If you draw anything inspired by the story, I’d also love to see that! Go ahead and send it to me and I’ll even post it up here, with credit to you, of course.

And while you’re at it, you can read the story! Just click the page labelled, conveniently enough, The Story over there. I’ve also set up a page that houses some of the most recent updates, as you can see. If you don’t want to go digging through the chapters, you can just click in there and read from where I last left off.

So there you have it. If you’d like to read the story in a slightly less complicated format, I post it chapter-by-chapter at the Attic at Gamejag.net. Enjoy reading!
